Special congrats to our Golfito fishing friend Joan Vandergriff for winning top lady angler at the IGFA Offshore World Championships in Cabo.WMO is this week, and Charlie has an opening for 1 or 2,Tues.through Friday.Give me a call or EM if interested.
Harry I need to see pictures!!
Nothing like $5.25 a gal. deisel to teach us owner/operators new strategies to persue our offshore affliction.Running out 60/100 miles to the good water @ warp speed and coming home is a luxury of a buy gone era.It reminds me of the very old joke of the young and the old bull standing on the hilltop looking down at a herd of cows. The young bull say’s “let’s run down the hill and fuck a cow”.The old bull say’s”let’s walk down the hill and fuckem’ all.Gear up and overnite for 2 or 3 days when you have the window.Spend quality hours on the hunt and maximize and diversify the box and the experience.Pura vida
Enough about the “bullshit”, pardon the pun, what about the fishing? and where are the pics.
Gearing up for 5 day trip to Banko Hannibal area.Blacks and Blues AND 300 lbs yellowfins are the draw.Charlie Tuna from Hatteras and Arthur D from Miami are joining our merry crew.Check out Marlin Mag.June/July(magnificent Montuosa) for info on area. Also check out article in On The Rip 2008 edition for story on our longtime fishing and hunting partner Capt. Tim Hake.
Harry whats up where have you been be sure to check out the tuna tournament results from oc Fin-ness still whacking them starting of in 08 the way we ended 07 looking forward to hearing from you hope all is well
Tim
San Diego tomorrow with Inta and my Mom.We had a blog meltdown and lost our pictures. If you have some, put them up.World offshore championship this week, check IGFA sidebar.Got a good fishing report from Hatteras, here they come OC..
the big woods provided plenty of excitement. However if hunting success is measured by results I better stick to fishing. Many thanks to Don N. for putting it together.I’ll be in position next time.Laugh now Gobblers,I’m a quick study.
Harry was a great student. His ability to sit still for longer than 10 minutes was impressive. I think we are smarter than turkeys but they won this time. Watch out next year you gobble gobble birds. Always an adventure and pleasure to spend time with a good bud. Don
A traditional day on the bay provided a bounty of Striped bass and comradarie with old friends.Tomorrow we’re off to God’s country (Potter County)for a few days in the deep woods chasing Spring Gobbler.Pura Vida is a life style that’s waiting for you in any climate….enjoy the life
We are off to see Henry V tomorrow! Let one of those birds fly away for him (and me)! We love you guys…
Just wanted to thank Harry for the extra long day on the Bay….If he didn’t blow the first three (3), count ’em THREE hookups, we would have had to come back to port alot earlier…bbbbbb
Work keeps getting in the way.Striper next Thurs. with Chris Rosendale.Spring Gobbler in 2 weeks with Don Nolt.California mid May to see lil Henry.
1200 miles,18 sails and a blue.Just heard from Paradise Fishing Lodge in El Salvador that Gorge is recovering from the billfish stab in his neck.Close call.We got out of Nicaragua in one piece.Always carry an extra case of cold beer.Thumper is secure and sound at home port,Golfito.Returning in July for Marlin bite at Buricca.
The site was down for a good portion of the day on Friday and things are still a bit funky, but rest assured we’ll get the fishing news flowing normally again.
Go see http://www.babyhomepages.net/hjglahv/index.php for Henry V baby pictures!
YES! Grandmoma is back on line, so to speak.
I am so gosh darn excited about our trip to San Diego for to see and hear the new family of 5. Henry Joseph Glah Vth
We leave on the 16th of May.
Love to all. One Question?
What happened to February of 2008 and all the pictures I posted of huge Marlin caught by family and
friends…Thumper very sad.
Back on line Publishing on line too. Life is Good.
Happy Mothers Day.
The Grand Moma Granny Inta
Wow! Those are amazing! Miss you terribly…did you see that Henry V had his first food? Soon he will be eating fresh fish from Papi!
Wow! So that’s what’s happening under the water. I thought they just sat there looking at the bait and laughing.
Harry were the hell are you??
Hi, Harry: Thanks for the kudos on the Cabo win. Seems like a long time ago. Got in some trout fishing in Wyoming/Idaho, but I’m looking forward to getting back down to Golfito mid-November. Where are you and Inta? Miss you both,
Joan Vandergriff
Hi guys. It was a pleasant surprise seeing you the other day Harry. Hope you had a nice trip south and look forward to hearing how the fishing was. Be careful with those green fish!!
